Welcome to the IELTS online registration system for King's Oxford
To register to take the IELTS test in Oxford, you should enter your personal data into the online IELTS Application Form. Your family name(s) and first name(s) should be written exactly as in your passport.
Once a test date is full, or the registration deadline has passed, the test date will be removed from the system.
Once your application has been submitted, you cannot go back to change your details.
You will receive an automated email response acknowledging receipt of your online IELTS application. This email is called the ‘IELTS Application Summary’.
Completing Your Application
To complete your application you will need to submit a copy of your ID document and pay the required fee. You must do this immediately (or within one business day).
You will be given further information on how to submit your ID document and pay once you have registered.
We must receive the test fee and your ID copy before we can confirm your place. You will then receive an IELTS Test Confirmation email.
Your identity document (ID)
The rules on proof of identity for IELTS are very strict. If you come to the test without the correct ID, you will not be allowed to take the test and you will lose your test fee. You must bring the same ID document that you used for your online registration.
For all candidates except those from the EU, your ID must be a valid passport. European Union citizens may use their national identity cards if they prefer. Other kinds of ID will not be accepted.
Your speaking test
This is taken one or two days before the main exam, either on Wednesday (17.00 - 20.30), Thursday (16.00 - 20.00) or Friday (13.30 - 18.00). You will be sent a letter with precise information about your speaking test about 10 days before the main test date. For the convenience of candidates travelling from outside Oxford, a small number of speaking tests are available on Saturday afternoon. There is an additional fee of £25 for a Saturday afternoon speaking test.
IELTS is not recommended for under 16s. If the applicant is under 16, please contact the test centre directly for a consent form. Failure to do so may result in an application being rejected
